From vineyard to glass, explore the science of wine flavor with LMC & LECO in this interactive tasting experience.

What gives wine its flavor? How can grapes taste like cocoa or peach? The entire winemaking process shapes the taste you experience - and science can tell us why!

Lake Michigan College (LMC) and LECO Corporation invite you to an interactive wine tasting. Together, we’ll explore how analytical science shapes the wine industry. From instruments that analyze essential nutrients and plant health, to gas chromatography mass spectrometers that identify complex flavor compounds, LECO Corporation supports the wine industry from the vineyard to the glass.

You’ll be tasting wines made by LMC Wine & Viticulture Technology students that have been analyzed with LECO instruments. During the tasting, LECO scientists will help you connect what you’re tasting to the analytical data. Can your tastebuds match what science reveals?

Blending sensory exploration with real-world science, this event offers insight into the analytical tools supporting Southwest Michigan’s vibrant wine industry.

Must be 21 or older to attend!
