Overview

A Healing & Identity Workshop and book signing with Dr. Lanail R. Plummer

A Healing & Identity Workshop and Book Event with Dr. Lanail R. Plummer

What does it mean to unlearn what no longer serves you?
What are you ready to reclaim?
Who are you becoming?

Unlearning, Reclaiming, Becoming is a reflective, healing-centered workshop designed specifically for Black women navigating identity shifts, ambition, freedom, emotional complexity, and legacy.

Inspired by themes from The Essential Guide for Counseling Black Women, this experience translates clinical insight into a grounded, community-centered space for reflection, conversation, and affirmation.

This is not therapy. This is intentional space.

What We’ll Explore

  • Breaking generational cycles
  • Redefining work ethic, legacy, and success
  • Navigating friendships and relational shifts
  • Making space for joy, rest, and emotional honesty

Workshop Flow

  • Opening intention-setting
  • Guided journaling using prompts inspired by the book
  • Book Talk with Dr. Plummer
  • Facilitated group conversation centered on shared experiences
  • Closing reflection ritual: what we’re releasing & what we’re reclaiming

Who This Is For

Black women seeking space to reflect, reconnect, and realign.
No clinical or counseling background required — just an openness to show up fully.

Why This Matters

Too often, Black women are asked to be strong without being supported. This workshop creates space to pause, unpack, and redefine what strength, softness, ambition, and freedom mean on your own terms.

Come as you are. Leave lighter. Book Included.
