Sacred Wings: A Mindful Yoga & Wildlife Encounter
Join us for a rare experience in collaboration with Wildbird Recovery blending gentle yoga, wildlife education, and mindful connection!
Join us for a rare and reverent experience in collaboration with Wildbird Recovery blending gentle yoga, wildlife education, and mindful connection in the presence of a live bird ambassador.
This offering is designed to honor both human nervous systems and wildlife comfort, inviting us to slow down, soften, and remember our place within the natural world.
What to Expect:
Wildlife Education & Connection
Wildbird Recovery will introduce two ambassador birds, sharing their stories, species information, and how to respectfully share space with wildlife.
One ambassador bird, accompanied by a trained handler, will remain in the room during the yoga practice.
Mindful Gentle Yoga Practice then Sound Bath
This is a slow, grounded, quiet yoga class designed specifically to maintain a calm environment for the bird. Then to soothe us all, there will be about 40 minutes of sound bathing with the birds in the room still. So you can expect:
- Gentle breathwork to settle the body
- Guided meditation to connect
- Slow, intentional movements
- Long holds and floor-based or supported postures
- Emphasis on stillness, awareness, and respect
Collective Circle & Guided Meditation
We will close the practice in a gentle circle with a guided meditation and collective breathwork, connecting:
- To ourselves
- To nature
- To the shared web of life and all living creatures
Closing Connection & Conversation
Time to connect with:
- Wildbird Recovery staff
- Learn more about their mission and wildlife education
- Ask questions
- Share reflections and conversation
Important Notes
- This is not a fast-paced or power yoga class
- Sudden movements, loud voices, or abrupt transitions are intentionally avoided
- Wildlife comfort and safety are a top priority
- All levels welcome — no prior yoga experience needed
This experience is about coexisting, not performing.
What to Bring
- Yoga mat, optional blanket or bolster for comfort
- Water bottle or beverage to stay hydrated
- An open heart and respect for wildlife
