About This Event

Join Mujeres de Maiz, The Goddess Mercado, and the East LA Women’s Center for The East LA Women’s Day Fest, a powerful one-day community festival uplifting women, families, and femmes of color through art, advocacy, wellness, and cultural celebration.

This gathering honors International Women’s Day, the Spring Equinox, and the Mexica New Year, centering sisterhood, spirit, and solidarity during a time when coming together matters more than ever.

The festival brings together powerhouse women-led organizations, artists, healers, and entrepreneurs for a day of performances, resources, creative activations, and collective care.


What to Expect

  • Live poetry, music, and artivist performances
  • Pláticas, prayer, and community wellness offerings
  • Dozens of community resource and advocacy tables
  • Ponte Your Moños (#MoreBraidsNoRaids) — get braided and fundraise for individuals and families impacted by ICE
  • Social Practice Art Projects by Felicia “Fe” Montes, activated by local women artists and wellness practitioners, including:
    • Botánica del Barrio by Honey Bee Botanicals
    • Politricked Public Art Cart by Martha Carrillo (Heart On Arts)
  • Mujeres de Maiz Mercado featuring vendors such as:
    Mujeres de Maiz, El Mercado y Mas, Native Sol, Xti’ Artisan, and dozens more in collaboration with The Goddess Mercado


Artivist performers will be announced soon.
