This instructor-led course is intended to be delivered at the local level. This is a knowledge-based training course designed for tree workers authorized by their employer to operate hand fed brush and wood chippers as well as stump cutters as part of their job requirements. In this course attendees will learn skills and techniques such as general safety principles, PPE, pre operation inspection, start-up and shut-down procedures, proper use of hand fed brush and wood chippers, proper use of stump cutters and safe work practices. Brush and wood chipper operations as well as stump cutter operations will be explained, demonstrated by instructors. 6.5 CEU's will be awarded for participation.
