Haverford Township Large E-Waste Event Spring 2026
We are excited to partner with PAR-Recycle Works to provide Township residents with this free recycling event.
The Township partners with PAR-Recycle Works, a local not-for-profit, which hires formerly incarcerated individuals to recycle used electronics. Their mission is twofold: working to restore lives by providing job training and transitional paid employment in a supportive environment, while also protecting the planet and assuring that e-waste is dismantled and properly recycled.
PAR-Recycle Works is a first-level processing center for used electronics. Their workers deconstruct the items received and separate them into their major components. When necessary, they erase all data from hard drives before selling components to environmentally-responsible downstream processors.
The Township hosts two Large E-Waste Events throughout the year. During these events, PAR-Recycle Works collects computer towers, monitors, keyboards, laptops, printers, cable boxes, game consoles, phones, cell phones, fax machines, scanners, VCRs, DVD players, stereos, speakers, toasters, blenders, vacuums, small appliances, rechargeable batteries (NiMH, lithium ion, laptop, and cell phone batteries ONLY), wires, cables, string lights, TVs (plasma, flat screen, and CRT), dehumidifiers, humidifiers, air conditioners, and microwaves.
Any questions, please email: mbadman@havtwp.com.
Important Reminders:
- On the day of the event, please come to the Township Building parking lot only during your specific time slot. This is to manage traffic and keep everything running smoothly.
- Please plan to enter off of Darby Road and exit onto Manoa Road.
- The event begins at 9 AM, so please be prepared to wait if you arrive early.
- Finally, please listen to directions from Township staff and Police when lining up for the event, and be patient. We will get you through the line as quick as we can.
