Is there a memorial program?

Yes, the event will begin with family-friendly activities, followed by a memorial ceremony.

Where do we release the butterflies?

Accepted Answer

You may pick up your butterflies to release on-site and join us for the community memorial ceremony, or you may take your butterflies with you to release at home.

Question 3

What do the funds support?

Accepted Answer

When you participate, you are also helping Alive’s patients and families write a special final chapter together. Each purchased butterfly supports our nonprofit services, including grief counseling, community education, and financial aid.

Question 4

Can butterflies be purchased the day of the event?

Accepted Answer

While we anticipate having extra butterflies available for purchase, we cannot guarantee day-of sales.

Question 5

What if the weather doesn't cooperate?

Accepted Answer

A decision will be made the morning of the release. In the event of thunderstorms, we will pivot to a drive-through event. Ticket holders wil remain in their cars, butterflies will be provided for you to release off-site, and a recording of the memorial program will be provided via email.

Is this event open to anyone in the community?

Accepted Answer

Yes! This event is open to anyone who would like to attend and honor the life of someone who is no longer living, regardless of affiliation with Alive Hospice.
