Location TBD
Monday, Mar 23 from 9 am to 7 pm
Overview

Children will decorate and pack sack lunch bags for hungry neighbors.

Who this Anywhere Project is for:

Ages 2-12.

Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org.

What you'll be doing:

This project focuses on the important message that sometimes we need help and sometimes we can give help. Kids will explore this message and through a read aloud and age-appropriate discussion. Then helping hands will decorate paper bags and pack 20+ sack lunches to be delivered to hungry & unhoused neighbors at The Open Shelter.

Please note this project only accepts PBJ sandwiches. If a child has a nut allergy, please consider pre-wrapped sandwiches like uncrustables.

When you'll be doing it:

This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are!

Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm on March 23rd at our Seeds of Caring Ambassador's home in Worthington. Address is provided in the service packet.

How it all works:

Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.

Is this your first Seeds of Caring Anywhere Project? Check out this video to learn how it all works.

The meaning-making:

Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you'll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project's guided discussion focuses on hunger.

Approximate Cost:

$30 (Exact packing list will be included in service packet. All sack lunch bags should include a PBJ sandwich, 3 sides, and water)

Why you'll be invited to donate:

Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.

This service opportunity is made possible through the generous support of The Center for HumanKindness and The Walter Foundation.
