For the Love of Reading: A Book Club for Kids

Get tickets for our 2026 Book Club meetings. Upcoming dates include:

• Wednesday, May 23, Northside Achievement Zone, Minneapolis—Featured Author: Mya the Author, reading Natural Hair Afro-Mations
• Thursday, June 10, Conway Recreation Center, St. Paul (Parent Appreciation Night)—Featured Author: Mercedes Yarborough, book TBD

Gatherings include a read-along session with the featured author, food, a copy of the featured book, and fun activities to get kids enthusiastic about reading and create the building blocks for advocacy as they explore identity, culture, and topical issues presented by local authors.

Our emerging reader book club serves students in grades 2-5, and meets monthly at a local library in the Twin Cities. We are always welcoming new students!
