It is a cultural experience where we come together once a month to watch, reflect, and connect through 90s Black music videos that defined a generation. From soulful R&amp;B visuals to storytelling hip-hop classics, we explore how art, lyrics, and imagery shaped our memories, fashion, and cultural identity.We talk about what we saw, what we felt, and why it still matters, then play themed bingo or trivia that keeps the energy fun and nostalgic. It is the perfect mix of book club, game night, and grown-folk vibes.Reel Wise Society is for hip hop and R&amp;B aficionados—whether you are a listener, educator, artist, DJ, or writer, men and women alike, all are welcome. We are here to honor the era that raised us while learning how it still moves us today. Location: TBA, Will be held at a venue in Charlotte, NC Volume I: April 2026 – Soundtracks and CinemaThis month, we dive into the unforgettable soundtracks that made '90s movies legendary. From Waiting to Exhale to Love Jones, we explore how songs defined entire films. Our Movie Match Trivia brings laughter and friendly competition as we revisit the best soundtracks of the decade. Each session ends with an open-floor moment for members to share ideas and nominate future themes or artists. <h2>What to expect</h2>Reel Wise Society is a monthly gathering for men and women who want to dive deeper into iconic and underrated ’90s R&amp;B and hip-hop videos. Each session includes:<ul><li>Video Viewing: A short lineup of iconic R&amp;B and hip-hop videos from the ‘90s.</li><li>Reflection &amp; Discussion: Share what stood out, what moved you, and what still resonates today.</li><li>Mini Debate: Two sides, one bold topic — examples: who made the better collab, who told the realest story, or what visuals defined the decade.</li><li>Bingo/Trivia: Themed 90s Bingo cards or quick trivia rounds that test your memory of the era.</li></ul> <h2>Packages</h2>Reel Wise Society offers three ways to join the experience:<ul><li>General Admission includes full access to the session, games, and socializing.</li><li>VIP tickets provide an elevated experience with early entry, priority seating, and an exclusive goodie bag curated by our community vendors.</li><li>Vendor/Contributor tickets allow local creators and businesses to participate in the event by contributing items for VIP goodie bags and gaining recognition in the event program.</li></ul>
