Hickory Flat Band (HFB) is an 11-piece, high-octane dance and party band built to ignite any stage and keep the crowd moving all night long. With roots stretching back to 2002, HFB began as a laid-back jam band in the Woodstock, GA, home of Nashville guitarist Jimmy “JR” Robinson. What started as a Friday night tradition, blues tunes, roller skates on the dance floor, and a lakeside fish fry turned local festival called Fishorama, quickly became the heartbeat of a community and the spark of something bigger.

In 2018, the music stopped after the sudden and tragic loss of bassist Mike “The Weav” Weaver. But in true rock-and-roll fashion, the story didn’t end there. In 2020, longtime keyboardist Mark Rowell made the call to literally bring the band back to life. Much like the Blues Brothers, he tracked down the original crew, added fresh firepower, and reignited the flame. What came out the other side was a fully reimagined HFB: bigger, bolder, and ready to bring the house down.

Today, HFB delivers a full-throttle performance experience packed with heart, heat, and serious talent. The band features four powerhouse horn players (led by a husband-and-wife duo), a jaw-dropping father-daughter vocal team, and a rhythm section so tight it practically levitates. With a sound that blends soul, funk, R&B, blues, and rock, they bring something for every crowd...and leave no dance floor untouched.
