La Cocina 2026 Gala
The Butterfly Effect: A flutter here. Ripples everywhere.
In chaos theory, the "Butterfly Effect" posits that a small flutter of wings can shift weather patterns on the other side of the world. At La Cocina, we see this phenomenon every day. A single commercial kitchen space - a modest "start" - creates a ripple effect that transforms families, stabilizes neighborhoods, and reshapes the local economy.
On May 19, we invite our supporters to an intimate dinner hosted within the Minnesota Street Project. Surrounded by contemporary art and the bold flavors of incredible chefs, we will explore the science of impact. This dinner is a celebration of metamorphosis. Join us to honor the entrepreneurs who have found their wings and the community that provides the wind beneath them.
La Cocina is proud to feature extraordinary chefs from across the Bay Area whose work reflects the creativity, resilience, and innovation that define our community.
Chef Heena Patel, Besharam, Host Chef & Board Member
