“The Psychology of Capitalism & The Collapse of American Personal Life”
Gain a better understanding of the collapse of Americans' personal lives with this 4-week online course!
The course from the Left Education Project's Spring lineup is a four-week, four-session online course led by Dr. Harriet Fraad. Through a psychological lens, participants will study the powerful institutions of marriage and family that have sustained people throughout the era of capitalism as they have been the basic emotional safety net for Americans. The nuclear family was formed alongside capitalism, and it is now failing as capitalism begins to fail. Classes will be held via Zoom on four consecutive Mondays beginning on March 2nd, and feature a lecture-style presentation with a Q&A period at the end of each session. Each class will last two hours and will be recorded on Zoom for participants to view at their leisure if a class is missed.
