Overview:

What is Psychological Safety in the Workplace, and just why is it so important nowadays?

  • Did you know that people with disabilities report lower levels of feeling that they have psychological safety at work compared to their non-disabled coworkers who report feeling less likely to fear negative consequences for simply sharing their values or ideas?
  • This half-day highly interactive dynamic workshop will help participants define and understand psychological safety in the workplace, along with its importance for leadership, coworkers, and better business practices. We will explore warning signs and implications that arise when there is a lack of psychological safety at work.
  • Attendees will gain knowledge to ethically navigate and increase psychological safety levels within their employment setting, which in turn improves overall organizational culture with tangible takeaways for better recruitment, retention, and advancement of individuals with disabilities in the workforce.
  • We will put psychological safety into practice with our facilitated Talking Circle and discussion, open feedback, Q&A, and an independent activity to express our gratitude by honoring someone special with our unfettered appreciation. This workshop will be meaningfully introspective and a memorably resonating experience for all attendees!
