Celebrate New York Fashion Week with a free drawing event. Led by fashion illustrator Chuck Nitzberg, draw live models in the latest fashion

Bring New York Fashion Week to your sketchbook. In this free fashion drawing event—led by League Fashion Illustration instructor Chuck Nitzberg and in partnership with local NYC designer Emily Uldal—observe and sketch the latest looks from her collections. Nitzberg will begin with a brief overview of fashion illustration history, highlighting select pieces as you draw from a live model. Learn how to capture fashion proportions, bold silhouettes, and the expressive energy behind each pose, with individualized feedback from Nitzberg throughout the session.

Bring your own drawing materials, or purchase supplies in our Art Store located in the lobby.

About Chuck Nitzberg

Chuck Nitzberg has been living and working as an artist in New York City for 40 years. After receiving a BFA from the Rhode Island School Of Design he came to New York and began illustrating for periodicals such as Women’s Wear Daily, Cosmopolitan Magazine, and Fashion Merchandising Magazine. He was an art director for several textile manufacturers and print studios, and created new looks for the garment and home furnishings market. Chuck’s fine arts work can be seen in the arts publications Spunk, Vaczine, and The Archive.

Drawing inspiration from vintage textiles, art, and natural materials, Emily Uldal creates unique pieces that are one of a kind. Artisann textiles and vintage construction is integrated into each piece. Uldal finds beauty in simple, classic silhouettes with a modern curation of color. Materials are sourced from markets, garage sales, and vintage retailers giving each piece its personality. Recycling and repurposing is what Uldal does best. Sustainability is a major part of the business without sacrificing fun personality.
