A modern sewing circle meets farm vibes, food, and drinks.
Join us for a relaxed craft circle during happy hour in the big red barn upstairs. It’ll be an easygoing evening of creativity and connection hosted by expert maker and AOOA artist-in-residence alum Jenny Torino (and when we are lucky, surprise guest artists!). Bring a craft or idea to work on alongside new friends, and come ready to share techniques and learn from one another. Simple crafts and instruction focusing on exploring creativity will be available if you are in the mood to try something new!
Enjoy live music, libations, and food from our farm. Think modern sewing circle meets farm vibes, food, and drinks. Basic supplies will be available (embroidery thread, textile collage materials, simple weaving, fabric pom-poms), but feel free to bring your own project—knitting, drawing, or anything you’re working on. Your first farm fresh cocktail or mocktail is included in your ticket price!
About the instructor: Jenny Torino is an interdisciplinary artist who combines art and science to increase one’s knowledge and appreciation of living things and the ecosystem. She primarily uses fibers such as felted wool, textiles, yarn, and paper mâché to create outdoor interactive spaces and sculptures and paintings. Jenny observes and works slowly leading to hyperfocus on shape, form and color; focusing on these details becomes a meditation. She hopes her work kindles curiosity and motivates people to look closer at their surroundings and themselves.
