This is a live conversation series that is recorded and distributed as part of the Get Me to the Gray podcast. If you wan't to get a sense of what you're walking into, the first live event is listed on the podcast as Episode 4.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in how justice systems work  and how they might evolve.

Previously, our audience included community members, students, organizers, and people who simply care about how difficult decisions get made in public life.

You do not need any prior knowledge of the topic to participate.

Will there be audience participation?

Yes.

The conversation will begin with a moderated discussion between Paula Lehman-Ewing and Alexis King, followed by time for audience questions. Any audience engagement will follow the same tone as the conversation—curious, respectful, and non-combative.

Why do I need to buy a ticket?

Tickets help us manage headcount and plan the event responsibly with the venue.

Ticket proceeds also support community organizations connected to the themes of the series. Each event partners with a different organization.

What if the conversations feels uncomfortable?

That’s expected. Discomfort is not a failure of the conversation—it’s part of the purpose. Get Me to the Gray is built on the belief that staying present through discomfort can open space for deeper understanding. However, if you're truly unsettled, we ask that you  excuse yourself quietly.
