This event - an 89-minute “happening” - explores the democratic possibilities that emerge when we create and improvise together. Percussion duo Joey Baron and Robyn Schulkowsky blend their jazz and avant-garde with an interdisciplinary ensemble of Stanford scholars - Nilam Ram (Psychology), Chris Chafe (Music), Fred Turner (Communication) and their colleagues - to create a space where sound, silence, history of social movements, presentation of science, and expression of culture develop in fellowship and mutual action - to listen, to shape, to change...
