With a panoramic view of the ocean, Gardiner Pond and Narragansett Bay, the Hanging Rock Ridge offers one of the most beautiful and scenic outlooks on Aquidneck Island. The hike culminates on the ridge before sunset, with plenty of time to hike back before dark.
Together with a Norman Bird Sanctuary educator, hike along the Hanging Rock Ridge while learning about the geology of the region, the most recent glacial activity in southern New England, and the formation of Paradise Valley.
Please note that this hike can be tough for some, the terrain of Hanging Rock is uneven and steep in places. Please be sure to call the front desk (401-846-2577) if you are unsure of your ability to participate in this hike.

Inclement weather policy: This event will be cancelled in unsafe weather conditions. In the case of cancellation, refunds will be issued through Eventbrite. There is no rain/snow date.
Refund policy: Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather, tickets will be refunded through Eventbrite.

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited.
Outside beverages and seating are not permitted.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed. Service animals are permitted.
