The Hutchinson River Restoration Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to the long-term protection and restoration of the Hutchinson River. We are committed to working with local communities, politicians, and other environmental organizations to ensure that the river is restored to a healthy habitat.Our mission is to restore and enhance the health of the Hutchinson River for current and future generations. We strive to reduce pollution, improve the river's water quality, and protect its wildlife and habitats. By working together, we believe we can create a healthier and more vibrant river for all to enjoy.

Earlier this winter HRRP hosted a winter walk through Nature Study Woods, where we learned about the history and ecology of the area.Now it’s time to give back. HRRP will be partnering with Westchester Parks Foundation to work together to restore this special place by removing invasive plants and picking up garbage. Our efforts will help beautify the river and reduce the amount of trash that flows into it. This hands-on activity is a great way for families and community members of all ages to make a positive impact on the local environment while spending time outdoors together.What to Bring:BootsLong-sleeve shirt &amp; JacketHatGlovesLet’s work together to restore the river—see you there!Please note that this event has Age limits:12+ with adult14+ without adult~Street parking is available.~0045 &amp; 0040 and a few other buses stop within a 5-10 minute walk to the location.~We will provide gloves, grabbers, trash bags, and anything else required for invasive removal and trash collection as well as water and a light snack.~Please purchase a ticket for everyone in your group so we have an accurate headcount.~By purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to our <a href="https://bit.ly/HRRPWaiver" title="https://bit.ly/HRRPWaiver" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Waiver</a>.
