Join this online workshop to learn and practice yin yoga with a focus on the hips and surrounding areas of the body.
Yin Yoga Workshop: Yin for the Hips
This 2 hour workshop is primarily a yin yoga practice with a focus on the hips. We will work with the muscle groups, meridians (lines of energy), and functions of this area of the body to support mobility, release of tension, and a deeper sense of self-awareness.
Yin Yoga is a slower, meditative style of yoga practice that emphasizes relaxing the muscles in order to access the deeper connective tissues of the body (fascia).
You can expect the following:
- short discussion on the philosophy of yin, functional anatomy, & how yin works
- review of postures for our practice + their variations
- yin yoga practice, guided by both verbal cueing & silence
At the conclusion of the practice, we'll close with a brief meditation and have time for journalling, discussion, or questions.
You'll also receive a downloadable PDF guide to accompany the workshop.
This workshop is designed to be welcoming and meaningful for all experience levels.
