Birding Breakfast : Wake Up to Treats and Tweets!

Wings Over Water Northwest is an all volunteer, non profit, tax-exempt organization. Our mission is to promote conservation, education and stewardship of the birds and their habitat in the Pacific Northwest as well as encourage ecotourism to support the economy. Wings Over Water, Northwest Birding Festival is one of the ways we provide education, while also providing the opportunity to bring significant economic benefits to this rich and pristine area.  Donations to help support our missions and Festival are most welcome!

Breakfast for Birders (includes presentation) Sunday, March 15, 9:00 am to 11:00 amWhere: Blaine Senior Center, 763 G Street, BlaineCost: $18 (cost does not include any Eventbrite ticket and payment processing fees). Space is limited, registration recommended.Join us for a light and nourishing continental breakfast featuring fresh fruit, yogurt, breads and pastries along with freshly brewed coffee, tea, and fruit juice. As we undergo the annual springtime transformation, one of the most conspicuous changes is the incredible abundance of bird song. These vocalizations fill the air with music-like sounds that are a delight to our ears! Biologist Chris Templeton will take us to “Songster School” to explore avian bioacoustics, offering a fresh way to listen to the songs of spring. His presentation will highlight bioacoustics research by his group on song sparrows known for their beautiful songs. You may just leave here whistling a tune!
