Wings Over Water Northwest is an all volunteer, non profit, tax-exempt organization. Our mission is to promote conservation, education and stewardship of the birds and their habitat in the Pacific Northwest as well as encourage ecotourism to support the economy. Wings Over Water, Northwest Birding Festival is one of the ways we provide education, while also providing the opportunity to bring significant economic benefits to this rich and pristine area.  Donations to help support our missions and Festival are most welcome!

2026 Wings Over Water Festival events for registration.

Join Pam Borso of North Cascades Audubon Society for a nature walk in the Birch Bay State Park from the Heron Center to the Nature Trail. She will cover the natural history and use of native plants. We will listen to birds along the way.This is a free event. Space is limited, registration recommended.*A Discover Pass or a $10 day pass is required for parking within the state park. A pass can be purchased at kiosks in the park.
