Do we need Tickets?

Boat tickets required at least 24 hours in advance and are only available on this site. Each person, including children, must have their own ticket. Prices: Adult Non- Member - $40 Child (age 3-12) - $10 Adult Rockport Resident - $15

How can I get Member Tickets?

Members of Thacher and Straitsmouth Island Association (TSIA) receive free launch tickets. Become a member at thacherisland.org/join-us/  Choices: Individual Membership ($40) – 2 free tickets per season, Family ($75) – 4 free tickets per season, Patron ($150) –6 free tickets per season

Where do boats (Launches) Depart?

Launches leave from Rockport Granite Pier, at the end of Wharf Road. Address for GPS and driving directions: 16 Wharf Road, Rockport, MA. 01966. Map of Granite Pier can be found under Read More section near the top of the page.

Question 4

Where to Park?

Accepted Answer

At Granite Pier, park only on the right side of upper level. Vehicles parked incorrectly may receive a ticket. Walk to lower level, an island docent will advise when to board the boat.

Are there Parking Fees?

$10.00 per car for non-Rockport resident, cash or check (no credit card) at red parking shack if open or leave fee in envelope provided by dock docent. Rockport residents with sticker park free. Cars must display $10 parking ticket receipt OR a Rockport Resident sticker.

How will we know about Boat Cancellations?

To see if a boat trip has been cancelled, call our Boat Cancellation Hotline at 978-546-5000 ext 42628 (4 BOAT) after 6:15am the morning of your trip. You will also get a call from a volunteer's phone so please answer your phone that morning.

What is the Refund Policy?

Accepted Answer

Tickets refunded, less Service Fee, only if cancelled more than 7 days before departure date. No refund if passenger cancels (any reason) less than 7 days before departure. Call 617-599-2590 to cancel. *If using a Member Benefit Ticket, please cancel so seat is available to others.
