Abstract Painting, Ages 7-9
This class will allow students to jump into artistic exploration seeking fun and unique ways of painting and creating!
Abstract painting allows students to explore fun and unique ways of painting and creating! Abstract painting allows students to jump into artistic exploration. It lets them discover fun, personal, and totally unique ways to paint and express themselves creatively! This style moves past the usual rules of trying to paint something real, encouraging students to zero in on basic visual elements like color, shape, texture, and line, letting those become the main focus.
Please be aware of our important age requirement policy:
Students must be within the age range specified in the class listing. Barnsdall Junior Arts Center reserves the right to cancel enrollment for any students who are not within the specified age range.
This class will meet in Studio 4 for 8 weeks on Saturdays from 2:00pm-3:00pm beginning April 18th and ending June 6th.

New Class Fees
In order to register for this class we require students to pay two fees:
- LAB FEE: Paid online through Eventbrite. This is for materials.
- CLASS FEE: Paid in person in cash or check. This goes to the Department of Cultural Affairs.
The LAB FEE for this class is $10
The CLASS FEE for this class is $24
