Horizon Festival Ballybunion
Horizon Festival lands in Ballybunion this July for a three-day outdoor music and entertainment experience beside the coast.
Horizon Festival is a three-day outdoor music and entertainment weekend set against the coastal backdrop of Ballybunion, Co. Kerry. Built around big live acts, high-energy performances and a proper festival atmosphere, Horizon blends headline music, party sets and feel-good summer vibes into one unforgettable weekend by the sea.
Across Friday, Saturday and Sunday, festivalgoers can expect a packed Big Top line-up, a buzzing site filled with colour and sound, and the kind of atmosphere that only happens when great music meets a great crowd in a great place.
Big Top Highlights
- Friday: Super Ceílí, The Rising, The Highstool Prophets
- Saturday: Electrad, The Circus Ponies, Jenny Greene
- Sunday: Bingo Loco with an after-party set from DJ Martin Guilfoyle
A secondary Horizon Stage will feature additional acts and emerging performers across the weekend.
The Experience
Horizon isn’t just gigs on a stage — it’s a full festival environment:
- Festival flags, bunting and big-top elements
- Food trucks
- Outdoor bars and chill zones
- Daytime sunshine sessions rolling into late-night energy
- A friendly, up-for-it crowd from Kerry and beyond
Whether you’re there for the live bands, the DJ sets, the party atmosphere or just a brilliant summer day out with friends, Horizon is designed to feel lively, welcoming and memorable from the moment gates open.
Location
Set in the heart of Ballybunion, the festival pairs live music with sea air, summer light and one of Ireland’s most scenic coastal towns — making it as much a destination weekend as a music event.
Who It’s For
- Groups of friends looking for a summer weekend highlight
- Music fans who love live Irish acts and big DJ energy
- Locals and visitors wanting a proper festival experience without the cross-country trek
- Anyone who enjoys great music, good food and a buzzing atmosphere
What to Expect
Think: colour, sound, sunshine, singalongs, dancing, and that electric festival feeling that carries from afternoon into night.
Horizon Festival Ballybunion is set to become a standout date on the summer calendar — three days of music, energy and coastal festival magic.
