IMPROV 500 THURSDAY - The Art & Craft of Improv, SPRING'26

Overview

Translate the skills and techniques from previous levels into the Art and Craft of Improv and playfully explore the *why* behind the theory!

The class synthesizes the skills, techinques and philosophies learned in previous classes, exploring what it takes to turn improv into art. The emphasis is on playing with the principles of improvisation and discovering the choices available to advanced improvisers. Students will learn to bring their own lived experiences to the stage and to heighten them for theatrical performance. The class culminates with an introduction to and showcase performance of the original Unstructured Harold.

Time and Dates: Thursdays for eight (8) weeks, from March 26 to May 14, 7pm to 9:30pm. The Showcase Performance will be on Monday evening, May 18.

NOTE: Attendance at the first session of your course is mandatory as it sets the agenda for the entire quarter. If you think you will have to miss the first class, please consider registering for the next quarter.

Maximum Students: 16

Cost: Ticket price $295.00

Prerequisite: Unexpected Productions Improv 400

Age: 18 and above

**Cancellation policy: If you must cancel before the first class, we can only offer credit towards the same level class next quarter. We are unable to offer refunds. If you cancel after the first class we cannot offer credit towards a future class. Again, we are unable to offer refunds.
