Explore the mechanics, challenges, and feedback loops that keep players hooked, and see how characters grow stronger and more exciting over time.
You’ll break down how abilities evolve, how skill trees unlock new ways to play, and why smart progression keeps games feeling fresh. Then it’s your turn: design your own simple skill tree and build a gameplay loop for a character or NPC of your choice.
By the end, you’ll know how mechanics and progression work together to motivate players—and you’ll be thinking like a real game designer. 🚀🎯
