Celebrate Blein ny Gaelgey, the Year of the Manx Language, by bringing Manx into your classroom in simple, meaningful ways. This free CPD session for teachers will show how small, intentional uses of Manx can make a big difference to pupils’ language awareness and cultural connection.Led by two experienced teachers - Ruth Keggin Gell, Manx Language Development Officer for Culture Vannin and Stephen Rule, visiting Welsh teacher and language advocate also known as 'Doctor Cymraeg' this practical session will:<ul><li>Share ready-to-use classroom ideas</li><li>Highlight existing Manx-language resources</li><li>Build your confidence in using Manx little and often</li><li>Support delivery of the curriculum re: Manx culture</li></ul>You don’t need to speak Manx to attend; just bring yourself!Free CPD session Arrive at 4:00pm for a 4:15pm startAlthough this session would be most-appropriate for primary teachers, both Ruth and Stephen are secondary-trained, and will also incorporate ideas that can adopted by secondary teachers.A <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1981945589611?aff=oddtdtcreator" title="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1981945589611?aff=oddtdtcreator" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">daytime session (11am-12pm) at Culture Vannin (St John’s) will also be available for teachers</a> who can be released during school hours, and are unable to make the after-school session.Come along, be inspired, and learn how to weave Manx into your classroom!Organised by Culture Vannin and Doctor Cymraeg, and supported by DESC.
