This is a REVIEW-ONLY class. As of October 1, 2025, UF/IFAS Extension no longer is offering pesticide exams. Exam registration will need to take place through FDACS.

Pesticide licensing in Florida can be confusing, and it may be difficult to determine which license/certification you need and how to obtain it. Read more about the certification below to see if it applies to you.

The LCLM certification is for professionals who treat ornamental plants and beds around buildings.

  • No turf applications allowed
  • Restricted to 3-gallon pressurized and no power equipment
  • No more than a 5-gallon backpack
  • "Caution" labeled products only
  • Proof of insurance is required upon passing the exam
