How do I get to the pub?

There's limited free parking in the local area, so the best way to get there is via public transport. Nearest tubes are Wapping Overground and Shadwell DLR, and the D3 bus stops pretty much outside the front door!

Can I reserve a seat?

Seats are first-come first-served, so early arrival is encouraged! If you  require seating in a certain area for accessibility reasons, please do contact us and let us know.

I have an accessibility question

Do feel free to drop us an email setting out your requirements, so we can do our very best to meet them. It is with regret that due to the age and layout of the building, the Lookout Room that the comedy night is hosted in is NOT wheelchair accessible.

Is there an interval?

Yes! There'll be plenty of time halfway through the evening to refresh yourselves and visit the bar.

Is there food at the venue?

Yes! The Prospect of Whitby have a lovely big restaurant and a wide-ranging menu. We'd recommend eating in advance as there will be no service of meals in the event room once the event has started, and can't guarantee food service in the interval.

How can I support your comedians in other ways?

As well as buying tickets for our nights, we always recommend you support our comedians by following them on social media. We have a separate "tip jar" on here and on the night, 100% of which goes to our acts.

Can I bring my dog?

As well as any sight-assisting/support dogs, The Prospect of Whitby welcomes well-behaved dogs kept on a leash, and so do we in most cases. For the comfort of all of our audience and acts, we will ask the rest of the room whether there are any phobias/allergies before entry, and respond as required.
