Overview

Remote (Zoom) Lecture dates: March 30-31, 2026 In-Person Training Sessions (Choose ONE): April 9-10, 10-11, 16-17, OR 17-18

This course will provide you both the didactic and experiential training required to be eligible for California’s Limited Permit X-Ray Technician for Bone Densitometry (DXA).

*This course does NOT fulfill the requirements for the ARRT Secondary Credential for Bone Densitometry*

* *If you are a licensed CRT in California, you do NOT need to take this course.

This course has TWO required components:

Didactic Training (online): Two days of course lectures presented online on March 30-31, 2026

Online lectures are presented via Zoom. You are required to have camera/video capabilities to confirm your attendance during the lectures.

Experiential Training (in-person): Required 1.5-day training, on the UC San Diego main campus in La Jolla, will take place after completion of didactic training. Purchase the "ticket" with your preferred date AND machine (Hologic or GE Lunar).

Choose ONE In-Person Training Sessions: (1) April 9-10, (2) April 10-11, (3) April 16-17, OR (4) April 17-18


Once you complete registration, an additional Admission Questionnaire will need to be completed as soon as possible. The link will be included in your registration confirmation email.

Registraion Close: March 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM

FEES

Registration fee: $2,500

Eventbrite fees: $169.52 **

Additional fees will be required if retraining or retesting is required.

FEES REFUNDS POLICY

**Current as of November 2024: Eventbrite's fees are non-refundable**

100% registration refund up to 4 weeks before registration close.

75% refund from 4 weeks to registration close.

No refunds available once registration has closed.
