Join the Day Eight community for a poetry reading Sunday, April 19, 2:00-4:00pm at the Arts Club of Washington celebrating the conclusion of our 2026 mindfulness project and the launch of the the Mid-Atlantic Review 2025. Featuring poets Susan Mockler, Kimberly Collins, Ori Z Soltes, Regie Cabico, will read alongside Mid-Atlantic Review editors and contributors to the Mid-Atlantic Review 2025.Day Eight’s project on mindfulness, funded in part by DC Mayor Muriel Bowser’s Office of Community Affairs, supported events for the AAPI, Jewish, and African-American communities that occurred earlier this spring. Writing by participants will be published in the Mid-Atlantic Review 2026 and leaders in the programs are featured in this event alongside editors and contributors to the Mid-Atlantic Review 2025.This event will take place at the Arts Club of Washington, 2017 "I" Street NW DC, two blocks from the Foggy Bottom metro.BRING YOUR BOOKS!This is a free event. To support the magazine we invite all attendees to bring any poetry or fiction books that you may no longer want as donations. The donated books will go on a big table at the event. For a $20 donation, you can then select any three books to take home. Bring a bag or box of books to support the 2025 print issue of The Mid-Atlantic Review!Publication of The Mid-Atlantic Review 2025 was made possible by support from the DC Commission on the Art and Humanities and individual donors to Day Eight.
