What will I be doing in the class?

Besides having the most fun ever? We will be going over some cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own set of cookies that you will take home with you that day.

Question 2

Can I purchase an additional DIY Kit if I'm attending the class?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Many practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the classes. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. Your kit will be available at the end of your class - so don't forget it!

Question 3

I'm not attending the class - can I still purchase a DIY Kit?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Check out on Eventbrite - set your class ticket to 0 and add as many DIY kits as you'd like to purchase. You'll pick them up during the class - we'll leave them towards the front for an easy grab-n-go!

Question 4

Do I need to know how to bake?

Accepted Answer

Nope! We will have the cookies pre-made for you and will give you a recipe in an email after class so you can create your own on your own!

Question 5

What will we learn in class?

Accepted Answer

You’ll learn about what goes into preparing royal icing, and different icing consistencies. You may also learn different decorating techniques such as marbling, outlining, wet-on-wet, brush embroidery, and painting. Techniques will vary depending on the class.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing! Everything will be provided for you including our rather tasty sugar cookies. All you need to do is join us and have fun! Messy decorator? You can bring your own apron or just wear easy-to-wash clothing.  If you wear reading glasses, we encourage you to bring them.

What age is best for cookie classes?

Accepted Answer

Our classes are for almost any age! From youngsters to grandparents - come on in and have some cookie fun with us! Our in-person classes are great for any age.  However,  each child under 16 taking the class must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Question 8

Can just my child take the class? Or do I have to purchase a ticket too?

Accepted Answer

We ask that all parents also purchase a ticket and attend the classes with their children under 16. So no - a child under 16 cannot take the class alone, a parent must also purchase a ticket and take the class as well - but we can promise you this - it's super fun for all involved!

What will I bring home?

By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 24-48 hours. You'll take your leftover icings as well. And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!

Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?

Accepted Answer

You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 13 seats per class, so definitely sign up ASAP!

Where are the classes located?

Accepted Answer

This class will be held at the NOVA Property Management Offices - that address is  3310 Noble Pond Way, Ste 207, Woodbridge, VA 22193.  Class is on the second floor and an elevator is available.

Question 12

I signed up for a class but can't make it - what do I do?

Accepted Answer

We understand  life happens that’s why we allow you to cancel up to 7 days before the class for a full refund.  After 7 days, contact me to make arrangements to pick up your take home kit.

✌️ What happens if I purchased BOTH a Class Take-Home Kit & a ticket & need  to cancel:

If you purchased both a class ticket & a take-home kit &emailed prior to the 7 day refund policy, we'll be happy to offer you  a full refund for both your class ticket and DIY kit. If it is after the 7 days, contact me so you can pick up your Take Home (DIY)  kit(s).

Question 14

Are allergens present in the cookies?

Accepted Answer

⚠️ Allergens: Eggs, gluten, dairy, food coloring in the cookies and along with nuts/peanut butter are present in the kitchen used to bake these cookies and icing. Please consider your allergies before registering.

Question 15

Will I get a FULL refund if I cancel prior to the7 day deadline?

Accepted Answer

Eventbrite Fees:Your purchase has Eventbrite fees; however, Eventbrite does not refund its fees if you need to cancel. If you cancel your ticket for a refund, we'll give you a refund minus those Eventbrite fees - since we don't get this back either.

Will photos  be taken?

Accepted Answer

Say Cheese! Photos are taken throughout class (and posted to our Facebook page so you can see them too). Camera shy? ? No sweat! Just let us know it's a camera no-no.
