Learn to Shuck Classes @ Willard Beach Snack Shack

🎟️Ticket Includes: 1 dozen oysters plus accoutrements, knife and glove rental, hands-on instruction and open Q&A with an aquaculture specialist and a Lady Shuckers sticker. (optional add on to keep your Shucking Knife or The Whole Shucking Kit*)

🌊Getting there: Bring layers to shuck seaside! Parking is available on street or in the Willard Beach parking lot. To find us, walk towards the life guard shack at the end of the cul de sac and you'll see the picnic tables out front. Remember this is a community setting so you'll meet plenty of new friends and sometimes a few dogs!

Guests are guided by expert shuckers through the art of opening oysters safely and confidently, while learning about oyster varieties, sourcing, and the local ecosystem. Set against a relaxed beach backdrop, the class is equal parts skill-building and social. Perfect for groups, celebrations, or anyone looking to connect with Maine’s iconic shellfish culture in a fun, memorable way.

Regular services at the Snack Shack will be extended for food and drink until 7pm.

No alcohol is permitted on site as per City of South Portland rules and regulations.
