Agenda
-
Wisdom Talk & Meditation
Venerable Michael will give a roughly 10 min Dhamma talk about the significance of Vesak Day, and the practical lessons we can take from it today for Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. This will be followed by a guided meditation.

Candlelighting, Resolutions, Walking Meditation, & Pictures
After the meditation, everyone will light the candles throughout the ceremony, say some resolutions to usher their lives in a positive direction, and then carry a personal lantern outside as we follow the monks and practice walking meditation while chanting a sacred blessing. After three rounds of walking around the Buddha outside to pay respect on this special day, everyone will place the candles around the Buddha, take a picture, and then enjoy some time chatting and connecting in the beautiful candlelit environment.
