Pitch Slapped w/ GG HAWKINS

Real pitches, real professionals. Our show begins with a screenwriter sharing their passion with our improv executive, who greenlights their movie! But in Hollywood, there's always a twist. To justify his job, our exec makes some key changes to the story with the help of the audience, his snot-nosed kids, and whatever other characters happen to wander by. Our talented improvisers then show you a trailer for the movie, then 30 minutes of the best scenes from the 90 min fictional movie. It's like watching a movie, without all the boring parts!

Each writer brings their own brilliance to our stage, and our improvisers go in completely blind-- the writer doesn't know what will change, and the improv team hasn't heard the pitch. Come for the satire, stay for the chaos!

GG Hawkins is a writer, director and host of the No Film School podcast. Her award-winning first feature, I Really Love My Husband, premiered at SXSW in 2025 and is now streaming on Kanopy. GG’s work has been featured at Tribeca, Nantucket, Chattanooga and more. She received the Channie Award for Best Directing for her web series Kinda Flakey.
