Summer 2026 Baking Camp at Tal's- week 8 (k-5th)
This hands on camp introduces young children to different baking styles/ techniques and encourages them to follow recipes and get creative.
This baking camp will introduce young children to different baking styles and techniques. The camp is very hands-on, and encourages children to learn to follow recipes and get creative. The kids will get comfortable mixing doughs, understanding yeast, cutting, shaping and decorating. And this week is a trip around the world!
Day 1-
Scottish shortbread cookies-
- We will crack, mix and make cookie dough from scratch.
- We will cut the shortbreads and bake to perfection.
- While our cookies are baking, we will melt chocolate for cookie dipping.
Day 2
Fancy german chocolate ganache cupcakes-
- We will make and bake a batch of Tal’s chocolate cupcake recipe
- We will make chocolate ganache from scratch
- We will fill and decorate our cupcakes
Day 3-
English scones
- We will make buttery scones dough from scratch
- We knead and roll the dough, and cut scone shapes.
- Our scones will bake to perfection and will be taken home to share with family and friends.
Day 4-
Who doesn’t love fresh Bread?
- We will start the day by learning about bread, the ingredients and the magic that goes into creating this lovely staple food.
- We will shape our own loaves of Challah (a wonderful egg bread), proof and bake them.
- We will make Pizzas for lunch.
