The FLAP Trash Off: A High School Showdown!
WHAT: Quarterly Clean-Up Competition For FCPS High Schools
WHEN: Sunday October 30th From 12-2 PM
WHERE: Lake Accotink Park Marina
Friends of Lake Accotink Park-FLAP host biannual Trash Challenges: A challenge given to many FCPS high schools; High School Showdown! Combined, volunteers comb 497 acres to collect trash within the two hour limit. Removing these harmful pollutes from the waterways and land not only improve the environments health but also the health of our wildlife. We will hold these challenges on a quarterly basis; highlighting the school recovering the most trash at each event. An annual winner will also be selected. A big thank you to all our volunteers and congratulations to our showdown winners!
