2026 PA Literacy Summit & Day of Action

2026 PA Literacy Summit & Day of Action

Pennsylvania State Capitol ComplexHarrisburg, PA
Monday, Mar 23 from 9 am to 3 pm
Overview

Join the PA Literacy Coalition to turn literacy policy into action and advocate for the funding schools need to ensure every child can read.

Join the Pennsylvania Literacy Coalition for the 2026 Literacy Impact Summit & Day of Action!

This high-energy, statewide convening brings together educators, school and district leaders, advocates, policymakers, and community partners to move Pennsylvania from strong literacy laws to strong, well-funded implementation.

At the morning summit, we’ll share early findings from the Coalition’s statewide proof-points research—highlighting what’s working in classrooms across the Commonwealth and what it will take to ensure every child learns to read. Participants will hear from educators, school leaders, and policy experts driving real literacy gains and engage in conversations focused on turning policy into practice.

In the afternoon, attendees will head to the Capitol for a press conference and legislative meetings to advocate for the funding and supports needed to fully implement Pennsylvania’s updated literacy policies.

More than 200 advocates joined us last year, creating a powerful, unified presence in Harrisburg. This year, we’re building on that momentum with an even more action-oriented agenda and an expanded coalition voice.
