Are you passionate about massage therapy and massage therapy education? This online training is perfect for you! Learn how to become a successful massage therapy instructor from the comfort of your own home. The course will be on Zoom in 8 four-hour sessions held on the following Tuesdays and Thursdays in April: Tuesday, April 7th, 8am-12pm PSTThursday, April 9th, 8am-12pm PSTTuesday, April 14th, 8am-12pm PSTThursday, April 16th, 8am-12pm PSTTuesday, April 21st, 8am-12pm PSTThursday, April 23rd, 8am-12pm PSTTuesday, April 28th, 8am-12pm PSTThursday, April 30th, 8am-12pm PSTPlease note times are Pacific Time Zone (West Coast)All sessions must be attended to receive certificate of completion.NCBTMB approved 32hrs CE for LMTs (includes 4 hours Ethics)$600The Bodymechanics School Massage Therapy Instructor Training Program is designed for massage therapy professionals who have a desire to become an effective massage therapy instructor as well as to help those who already teach to increase their knowledge and improve their classroom skills. The program establishes instructor competencies that will develop ethical, employable massages and bodywork practitioners. Participants will leave with the knowledge, skills, and attitude that can positively impact the massage and bodywork profession.Participants will explore four topics that form the basis of effective and successful teaching :The Learner and Learning – Teaching begins with the learner. Learn to recognize patterns of learning and development that vary individually.Content – Develop your deep and flexible understanding of your subject area and be able to draw upon content knowledge as you work with adult learners.Instructional Practice – Understand and integrate planning, strategies and assessment in coordinated and engaging ways.Professional Responsibility – Learn to establish safe and productive learning environments, meet learners’ needs and accomplish institutional mission and goals.Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion for 32 hours of continuing education – including 4 hours of ethics.This course is comprised of 8 interactive Zoom sessions. All 8 sessions must be attended to receive certificate of completion. Session participation is required, so sufficient internet connection and device with camera and microphone is needed.
