Alex Bergan’s journey as a songwriter has been shaped by detours, doubt, and a deep commitment to authenticity—earning him stage time alongside notable artists and, ultimately, a defining place in San Diego’s folk and Americana scene after a decade in the U.S. Navy. His music blends grit and tenderness with honest, lived-in storytelling, leading to multiple San Diego Music Award wins and nominations, including recognition for My Notebook, “Unpromised Land,” and “Ghost in the Addict,” as well as Male Vocalist of the Year honors from San Diego Magazine. With a second album arriving in 2026 as two EPs, Bergan continues to create songs that linger—quiet, reflective, and unafraid to say what others won’t.
