Get ready to sink or swim at the most creative race of the year! We’re challenging you to build a functional (and hopefully floating) vessel using only three ingredients: Cardboard, Duct Tape, and Water-Soluble Paint. Whether you’re an amateur architect or just looking for a splashy afternoon, the Regatta is all about engineering, teamwork, and a little bit of luck. Will your design hold up, or will you end up in the lake?

Event Heats

We have a division for every level of sailor:

• Junior Captains (Children): For our youngest explorers.
• The Wave-Makers (Teens): Show off those creative engineering skills.
• The Mariners (Adults): Competitive racing at its finest.
• The Crew (Mixed): A category for families or friends of all ages to race together!

The Rules of the Water

To keep our lake clean and the competition fair, all boats must be constructed strictly from cardboard and duct tape. To protect our local ecosystem, only water-soluble paints are permitted for decorations.

Schedule & Registration

• Boat Check-In: 9:00 AM
• First Heat Starts: 11:00 AM
• Awards Ceremony: Following the final heat (Awards for Fastest Boat and the infamous Titanic Award for the most spectacular sink!)
