Femme Noir is a one-night-only, chef-led gathering rooted in remembrance and collective legacy.
Hosted by In the Business of Food and Wild Flower Hospitality, this five-course, family-style dinner brings together ten Black women chefs, including those directly shaped by Chef Elle Simone Scott’s work , to honor her life.
Chef Elle Simone Scott was a Detroit native and a nationally recognized leader in food media and mentorship as the founder of SheChef, a platform that amplified women chefs and expanded access to opportunity across the culinary industry. This dinner reflects the way she showed up for her community: generously and always in service of others.
The evening will include:
- A five-course, family-style dinner cooked collaboratively by ten Black women chefs
- Thoughtfully paired beverages
- Reflections on Chef Elle’s legacy and impact
- An opportunity to contribute to the Chef Elle Simone Scott Scholarship
