The BIG We is all about building a world where love is at the center, where communities can see and use their own cultural power to shape their futures; economically, politically, and in the stories we tell about ourselves. We do this work to create real, lasting space for connection, for healing, for folks to come together across differences and build something beautiful. Love is our north star. We’re here to build a beloved community where joy, safety, love, and abundance aren’t just dreams—they’re everyday realities. We move on two tracks: making sure that the people who’ve been left out and left behind get the investment and power they deserve, and strengthening the ties that bind all of us together. At The BIG We, we know that story and culture aren’t just important, they’re everything. They help us build deep relationships, create understanding, and move toward the world we all deserve, quickly and powerfully.

In This Place 2026: This is Memphis

In This Place is a citywide season rooted at Historic Clayborn Temple, inspired by the 1968 Sanitation Workers Strike. Through music, stories, and gatherings, Memphians build community, culture, and capital. Find your people and tap into what’s next!

What does it look like to build a creative future in Memphis? Young, Gifted, and Memphis is a celebration of young talent and a space for learning what is possible right here in this city. Taking place at the iconic Stax Museum, this gathering brings together young creatives, working professionals, and community leaders for a day focused on growth, opportunity, and real pathways forward. From music and dance to photography, video, and storytelling, the event centers young people who are already creating and helps them see how their creativity can turn into a lasting career.The experience blends conversation and showcase in a way that feels supportive, energizing, and real. Young creatives will hear directly from professionals across creative industries and from people who connect talent to resources, funding, and opportunity. Selected youth performers will also take the stage to share their work and receive thoughtful feedback rooted in care, experience, and practical next steps. The focus is confidence, clarity, and building skills over time, with a clear message that creative futures can grow and thrive in Memphis.Young, Gifted, and Memphis is part of In This Place 2026: This is Memphis, a citywide season of culture, community, and capital rooted in Memphis history and powered by The Big We.
