Standint Tough Against Rape is the non profit communtiy organization that works with University Students Against Rape, a the student organization of the University of Michigan, to put on the annual Take Back the Night Ann Arbor rally and march - an event to raise awareness about sexual violence and to give survivors a voice and to celebrate their healing as well as other events that focus on supporting survivors or creatng awareness about sexual violence. www.tbtnannarbor.org STARS works hand in hand with USAR to put on the TBTN Ann Arbor and the other events throughout the year. www.stars-mi.org

Join us as we gather in the Rogel Ballroom with students and community to support survivors of sexual violence.Jena-Lisa Jones wil be sharing her story of surviving Epstein and now being an advocate for other survivors.Spoken word, dancing, singing and more. Prior to the rally doors open at 6:30 to meet with local groups and organizations ike Planned Parenthood, SafeHouse and more.March immediately following.Check in at the door and those who pre-registered get a special sticker!

Parking - After 6 pm most parking opens up around campus except for the 24/7 monitored lots. There is a parking garage on the Northwest corner of Thompson Street and Madison that will open up at 6 pm and additional parking lots around the Union as well as street parking. The Ballroom is on the 2nd floor of the Union. The rally will happen rain or shine. The march will happen unless there is lightening during that time period. Doors open at 6:30 pm (not earlier as we will be setting up) Meet with over 12 tabling organizations like SafeHouse, Planned Parenthood, Students Against Domestic Abuse and more. Please put your tickets on your phone and check in at the door to get your sticker. We should have enough for everyone who has registered, but it will be first come first serve. We will have TBTN Ann Arbor t-shirts for a $15 donation and we can take cash or Venmo. QR codes will be throughout the room if you want to make a donation to help us continue this work. We plan to start the rally as close to 7 pm as possible. With the expected high attendance, it may be a little delayed. There are limited chairs, so please only take a chair if you need it. It will run about 90 minutes and the march will immediately follow. The march is 1.3 miles so wear comfy shoes! It is one of the best parts of the night so you don't want to miss it! The march ends back in the Ballroom for a short candle light vigil. We will have some bucket drums, tambourines, and of course signs for the march. Feel free to bring your own signs and/or drums if you would like. Please tag us in your socials when posting - tbtnannarbor. Trigger warning and parental discretion advised. We will be talking about sexual violence. Some material may not be appropriate for children due to both language and subject matter. Police will be present at the rally at SVU tables and during the march strictly to assist us in closing the streets. Press and personal photography will be happening.
