Overview

Ready to push your illuminated art further? This advanced workshop builds on basic circuit skills.

This advanced workshop builds on basic circuit skills to create sophisticated multi-LED installations with advanced switches and diverse conductive materials.

You'll explore multiple kinds of LEDs, experiment with advanced interaction mechanisms, and develop a personal reference guide of conductive materials and techniques. Perfect for artists planning ambitious light-integrated projects or anyone ready to expand their technical toolkit.

What You'll Learn:

  • Set up complex circuits with multiple LEDs and multiple inputs.
  • Explore advanced switches like pressure sensors and other resistive materials.
  • Develop a swatchbook of conductive materials and paper circuit techniques.

What You'll Make:

A swatchbook documenting various conductive materials and their properties, plus a complex multi-LED paper circuit demonstrating advanced techniques. You'll leave ready to tackle ambitious illuminated projects.

What's Included:

All materials including multiple LEDs, components, a variety of conductive materials, and papers. Tools and expert instruction provided.

Perfect For:

Artists planning complex illuminated books or installations, paper engineers wanting technical depth, designers creating interactive pieces, or makers ready to level up their circuit skills.

Prerequisite: Completion of our Paper Circuits workshop OR prior experience creating basic LED circuits. You should be comfortable with basic circuit concepts and using conductive tape.

Class size limited to 4-6 participants for personalized instruction.
