It’s a two-hour community outdoor scavenger hunt through Navy Yard! Grab your team 2-6 people and get ready to explore local businesses and waterfront parks while completing playful challenges and collecting clues.

What should I bring?

Comfortable shoes, a phone or camera for photo challenges, water, and your best team spirit. We’ll provide clue sheets and instructions.

Who can partipate?

Everyone! Families, friends, neighbors, and solo adventurers are all welcome. The hunt is designed to be fun and accessible for all ages — participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

What does it cost to play?

Participation costs $25 per grown-up, which reflects the fair‑market‑value cost of the scavenger hunt. Kids who come with an adult are welcome to play for free. You’ll also have the option to add a tax‑deductible donation if you’d like to support our mission further.

Is this kid-friendly?

Absolutely. Clues are designed to be fun for all ages, and younger participants can team up with grown-ups. If you register a child, you confirm you are their parent or guardian and accept responsibility for their participation and safety.

Will there be prizes?

Absolutely! The winning team will earn glory, bragging rights, and a prizes donated by Atlas Brew Works, Jungle & Loom, and Solace Brewing. You’ll also be featured in our post‑event highlights.

What if it rains?

We’ll play through light drizzle, but in case of heavy rain, we’ll reschedule and notify all registered participants.

What if I come solo?

No problem! We’ll help you find a team when you check in so you can jump right into the fun with a group.

Where will the hunt start?

We’ll kick things off at Solace Outpost (71 Potomac Ave SE). Look for our registration table to check in.

What if scavenger hunts are not my thing?

No problem at all! You’re welcome to join us at Solace Outpost for the kickoff and the post-hunt hangout. Whether you cheer on your friends, soak up the vibes, or just come for the stories and good company, there’s a place for you in the fun.

Red Rover Movement Inc is a Maryland-based  501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  We design playful outdoor experiences for grown-ups that raise funds to send kids to camps, afterschool adventures, and nature-based programs—especially those who face barriers to access. https://redrovermovement.org

Is my donation tax deductible?

Accepted Answer

Because the fair market value of participating in the hunt is $25, that portion of your ticket is not tax‑deductible. However, any donation in excess of $25 is tax‑deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law and directly supports Red Rover Movement’s mission to make play ageless.

Is there a liability waiver?

Accepted Answer

Yes! By participating, you acknowledge that outdoor activities involve some risk and agree to take responsibility for your own safety during the event. You release Red Rover Movement and its partners from liability for injuries or damages.
