Where do we meet?

Use the Met’s main entrance at Fifth Avenue and 81st Street. After passing through the metal detectors, you’ll enter the Great Hall. Walk toward the black stone statue of the Pharaoh. An OutPro representative will be waiting by the flower urn farthest from the entrance.

When do we meet?

Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your tour so we can start on time. We must purchase tickets for all arrivals. IMPORTANT: The Met is a 15-minute walk from the nearest subway. On weekends, there may also be subway construction. Please plan ahead and check the MTA if you are using mass transit.

What if I am running late?

If you are running late, please text 917-573-7275 with your name and situation. An OutPro representative will wait 10 minutes after the tour start time for late arrivals. If you text, they can wait up to 10 minutes longer. They want to enjoy the tour themselves!

Do I need to buy an admission ticket myself?

Accepted Answer

No, admission to the Met is included in the ticket price.

Question 5

I am a Member of the Met. Can I take the tour for free or at a lesser cost?

Unfortunately, the Met requires paid admission for every person on a private tour, regardless of membership status.

If there are multiple tours, may I change my tour time?

Accepted Answer

Due to group size limits, we can only switch times with advance notice and availability. Please select the time you wish to take the tour.

May I take photos?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you may take personal photos without flash.

What if I can't make it to the tour I booked?

Accepted Answer

Please email us as soon as you know you won't be able to make it. We may be able to accommodate you on a future tour, which may be several months away. Alternatively, you could attend a similarly priced event, like Wine Night Networking. We have a flexible change policy within reason.

How many people are on the tour?

The Met limits group tours to 20 people.

Question 10

What are your refund, date change, and ticket transfer policies?

Accepted Answer

Refunds are allowed up to 14 days before the event. Evenbrite fees are not refundable.  Ticket holder may move their tickets to a later tour with 48 hours' notice. (Later tours may be months in advance.)  We allow ticket transfers with 48 hours' advance notice.
