Hannah Rose Dexter is an LA-based jazz bassist and singer-songwriter whose work blends deep groove, lyrical sensitivity, and fearless musical curiosity.

A bassist first and always, Hannah has spent over a decade studying upright bass alongside years on electric bass, building a career as a sought-after sidewoman in jazz, blues, rock, and new music. Her playing has supported a wide range of artists including Ember Knight and A Horse A Spoon A Bucket, earning praise for its feel, restraint, and emotional intelligence. Her work has been featured by Obscure Sound, highlighting her growing presence as an artist to watch.

Now stepping into the spotlight as a solo artist, Hannah is recording her debut LP, The View From Normal, a bass-forward project that leans into mood, melody, and storytelling in an era of short attention spans. Her recent single, “Between,”showcases her thoughtful songwriting and intimate vocal style—grounded, human, and quietly powerful.

Originally from Portland and based in Los Angeles since 2012, Hannah brings a reflective Pacific Northwest sensibility to the stage, pairing technical mastery with warmth and authenticity.
